Air Duct Cleaning Services
The only acceptable air duct cleaning method is the one specified in NADCA (National Air Duct Cleaning Association) Standards. Any cleaning that does not comply with those standards will most likely leave the cleaned system with more issues than the original condition.
To achieve acceptable indoor air quality, all contaminated components of an HVAC system in contact with the conditioned air in the system must be cleaned. That includes the Air Handler unit which cools, heats and circulates the air in the system.
Mold Remediation for HVAC systems should only be done by experienced contractors. If any part of the system is neglected, any mold growth that might remain in the area could potentially re-contaminate the entire system.
DUCTZ also uses a special chemical called BBJ Fresh Duct Odor Eliminator that controls odors without using perfumes or oils that may add to indoor air pollution. It infiltrates and neutralizes odors at the source.
For non-porous surfaces like flex duct, metal duct or air handler components, DUCTZ uses a special microbial-inhibitor. This product is applied through fogging on the duct work and spraying on the air handler components. “It controls and inhibits the growth of microorganisms – such as gram positive and gram negative bacteria, and mold- that forms on the air ducts, cooling coils and other working parts of the system.”
In-Duct Air Purifiers work differently than UV lights. They are typically installed on the air ducts and not in the air handler and they clean the contaminants in the air by removing and reducing VOCs (volatile organic compounds) in the air as it passes through the system.

Duct board is a fibrous (porous) material and will trap dirt over time even if cleaned thoroughly. Sealant coating service works in two ways. One, it turns the duct board surface to a non-porous, smooth surface and minimizes future dirt buildup that would normally provide nutrients that feed mold colonies. Two, it contains an EPA registered anti-microbial that inhibits the growth of micro-organisms on or in the coating.
Even if a good filter is used, in time, A/C components and the duct system will get dirty. High humidity in Florida speeds up this process by supplying mold and other fungi/bacteria with necessary water source.
UV light attacks and sterilizes micro-organisms on coils, blowers, and other components of the air handler. Anywhere UV light shines, it will break down and eliminate organic materials like pet hair and dander and mold.
